Sell Your Vintage TV Guide Magazines (1960s and Older)

Welcome to SellOldMagazines.com—a trusted platform for the selective and professional review of vintage magazine collections. If you have original issues of TV Guide from the 1960s or earlier, your collection may qualify for review. As one of the most widely circulated publications in American history, TV Guide offers a rich visual and cultural record of mid-century television and popular entertainment.

We are currently reviewing select TV Guide magazine collections from the 1950s and 1960s that meet our general buying criteria.

About TV Guide Magazine

First published in 1953, TV Guide quickly became the essential weekly for millions of American households navigating the golden age of television. Featuring regional program listings, celebrity interviews, television news, and collectible covers, the magazine served as both a household reference and a cultural barometer. Early issues are especially valued for capturing the rapid rise of iconic shows and stars during the medium’s formative years.

Vintage TV Guide issues are often noted for:

  • First appearances of now-famous television programs and personalities

  • Cover stories featuring stars like Lucille Ball, Ed Sullivan, and Johnny Carson

  • Historical listings and ads that reflect the early evolution of American broadcast media

  • Compact digest size and recognizable logo design

  • Collectibility of regional editions from early print runs

What We’re Looking For

We appreciate all submissions, but only TV Guide collections meeting the following standards will be reviewed:

  • Era: Primarily issues from the 1950s and 1960s

  • Condition: Must be in very good condition—no water damage, torn pages, or significant cover wear

  • Mailing Labels: Label-free covers strongly preferred, particularly on celebrity-featured editions

  • Quantity: We do not purchase individual issues. Submissions should include 15 or more, boxed and ready for shipping or available for pickup

  • Content Note: Early cover stars, milestone programming, and debut years may enhance interest, but content alone does not guarantee a purchase

Due to the magazine’s wide distribution, only complete, well-preserved collections from earlier decades are considered.
