Sell Your Old Spin Magazines

Sell Your Old Spin Magazines
Welcome to SellOldMagazines.com—a professional resource for reviewing vintage magazine collections with care and selectivity. If you have original issues of Spin magazine, especially from the 1980s and 1990s, your collection may be eligible for review. Launched as a bold alternative to Rolling Stone, Spin captured the energy of underground scenes, rising genres, and shifting pop culture.

We are currently reviewing select Spin magazine collections that meet our general buying guidelines.

About Spin Magazine

Spin was founded in 1985 by Bob Guccione Jr. as a response to the growing diversification of modern music. Unlike more mainstream outlets, Spin focused on emerging artists in punk, alternative, hip-hop, electronic, and indie rock—often giving early coverage to artists who would later become cultural icons. The magazine also gained a reputation for in-depth journalism, distinctive photography, and trendsetting content throughout the 1980s and 1990s.

Issues we are most likely to review include:

  • 1985–1999 U.S. Editions

  • Covers Featuring Genre-Defining Artists: Nirvana, Madonna, Beastie Boys, Björk, Tupac, etc.

  • Magazines in Very Good Condition with Intact Spines and Pages

  • Boxed Collections of 15+ Magazines

  • Copies Without Mailing Labels Preferred

What We’re Looking For

We appreciate all seller interest but follow clear guidelines for evaluating Spin magazine collections:

  • Era: We primarily consider issues published between 1985 and 1999. Later issues may not qualify unless part of a larger collection.

  • Condition: Magazines must be in very good condition—no mold, water damage, missing pages, or heavy wear.

  • Mailing Labels: We prefer copies without mailing labels, especially if the label covers central artwork or text.

  • Quantity: We do not purchase individual issues. We typically review collections of 15 or more magazines, boxed or ready for pickup.

  • Content Highlights: While influential artists or genre-specific themes may add appeal, content alone does not determine eligibility.

Please note that while Spin offers strong cultural relevance, resale is limited to collections that meet our specific standards for condition, volume, and era.
