Sell Your Old Right On! Magazines
Welcome to SellOldMagazines.com—a trusted platform for the selective review of vintage magazine collections. If you have old issues of Right On! magazine, particularly from the 1970s through the early 2000s, your collection may be eligible for review. As one of the leading entertainment magazines focused on Black youth culture, Right On! was a key voice in music, fashion, and celebrity coverage for decades.
We are currently reviewing select Right On! magazine collections that meet our general buying criteria.
About Right On! Magazine
Launched in 1971, Right On! became a cultural staple for fans of soul, R&B, hip-hop, and pop. With its vibrant layouts, full-page posters, artist interviews, and exclusive features, the magazine offered teen readers a direct connection to stars who were often underrepresented in mainstream publications. From the Jackson 5 and New Edition to TLC, Brandy, and Bow Wow, Right On! documented generations of Black music and entertainment.
We are most likely to review:
1970s–Early 2000s U.S. Editions
Covers Featuring Notable Artists in R&B, Hip-Hop, or Black Pop Culture
Issues with Posters or Centerfolds Still Attached
Boxed Collections in Very Good Condition
Magazines Without Mailing Labels Preferred
What We’re Looking For
We appreciate all interest but follow clear submission guidelines when reviewing Right On! magazine collections:
Era: We typically review issues published before the mid-2000s, especially from the 1970s–1990s.
Condition: Magazines must be in very good condition—no mold, missing pages, water damage, or excessive wear.
Mailing Labels: We prefer label-free issues, especially where the label covers a portion of the artwork or headline.
Quantity: We do not purchase single issues. Submissions should include 15 or more magazines, boxed for shipping or available for pickup.
Poster/Insert Content: Magazines with intact posters, centerfolds, or photo pages are preferred—but inclusion does not guarantee purchase.
Please note that Right On! had broad circulation, and resale remains a niche market. Only a small percentage of collections meet the combined standards of condition, era, and packaging we require.
How to Sell Your Right On! Magazine Collection
If your collection fits the above criteria, we encourage you to submit a quote request with several clear images. Include publication dates, sample covers, and notes on condition. If your submission qualifies, we will follow up with shipping instructions or coordinate a local pickup when applicable.
We do not appraise or guarantee purchases, but we’re happy to review qualifying collections.
