Sell Your Old Harper’s Bazaar Magazines
Welcome to SellOldMagazines.com—where we carefully review vintage print collections with a focus on condition, era, and relevance. If you have older issues of Harper’s Bazaar, especially from before the 1990s, we invite you to submit your collection for consideration. Known for its influence in fashion, photography, and editorial design, Harper’s Bazaar has documented decades of style and cultural change in America and beyond.
We’re currently reviewing select Harper’s Bazaar magazine collections that meet our general buying criteria.
About Harper’s Bazaar Magazine
First published in 1867, Harper’s Bazaar is one of the longest-running fashion magazines in the world. Through the 20th century, it became known for its artistic layouts, cutting-edge photography, and collaboration with designers, models, and cultural figures. From art deco covers of the 1920s to the fashion-forward editorials of the 1980s, the magazine offers a visual timeline of changing tastes and trends.
Issues that may be considered for review often fall into these categories:
Pre-1990 Issues: U.S. editions from the 1940s through the 1980s
Fashion Photography & Illustration: Especially early layout designs, editorial shoots, and illustrated covers
Celebrity Covers or Cultural Features
September Issues or Thematic Collections
Clean, Unlabeled Covers with Minimal Wear
What We’re Looking For
We appreciate all inquiries from those looking to sell vintage magazines. That said, we follow clear criteria to determine which items we can reasonably review and potentially purchase:
Publication Date: We generally consider Harper’s Bazaar issues dated before the 1990s. Newer magazines are rarely accepted.
Condition: Items should be in very good condition—no water damage, mold, or missing content.
Mailing Labels: For Harper’s Bazaar, we prefer magazines without mailing labels, especially for cover display purposes.
Quantity: We do not buy individual issues. Our process favors boxed collections, typically 15 or more magazines at a time.
Content Type: While topics such as major fashion editorials or historical ads may increase interest, no content or feature guarantees acceptance.
Due to the highly specific nature of the resale market, not all magazines—even from well-known titles—will meet our purchasing needs. Magazine resale requires careful storage, market timing, and demand alignment, and we are only able to consider a limited number of submissions at any given time.
How to Sell Your Harper’s Bazaar Magazine Collection
If your collection aligns with the guidelines above, we invite you to complete our submission form and upload several clear images of your magazines. Please include visible dates, sample cover conditions, and an estimate of the number of issues. If your collection qualifies, we’ll provide packaging instructions or arrange for a local pickup where possible.
We do not appraise or guarantee purchases, but we’re happy to review qualifying collections.
