GQ began in 1931 as Apparel Arts, a trade publication for men’s clothing retailers. It evolved into Gentlemen’s Quarterly in the late 1950s and was rebranded simply as GQ in 1967. What We’re Looking For
We appreciate all seller interest but follow specific criteria when evaluating submissions. Due to shipping logistics and market factors, we are unable to purchase every collection.
Date Range: We primarily consider GQ issues published before the 1990s. Some exceptions may apply, but more recent magazines are generally not reviewed.
Condition: All magazines must be in very good condition, with no missing pages, mold, water damage, or excessive wear.
Mailing Labels: We prefer magazines without mailing labels, especially for titles like GQ where cover presentation matters.
Quantity: We typically do not accept single issues. We look for lots of 15 or more, boxed and ready for shipment or pickup.
Cover Content: Magazines with notable cultural figures, fashion spreads, or special editions may be considered—but their inclusion does not guarantee a purchase.
Because GQ was widely circulated, only a small percentage of vintage issues align with the specific conditions needed for resale. We review each submission carefully based on our internal standards and current capacity.

If your collection qualifies, we will follow up with instructions for packaging and shipping, or arrange a local pickup if applicable.
