Sell Your Old XXL Magazines
Welcome to SellOldMagazines.com—your trusted resource for the careful review of vintage magazine collections. If you have older issues of XXL magazine, particularly from its early years in the late 1990s and early 2000s, your collection may qualify for review. Known for its bold visuals, in-depth features, and cultural credibility, XXL became a major player in hip-hop journalism at the turn of the millennium.

We are currently reviewing select XXL magazine collections that meet our general buying guidelines.

About XXL Magazine

Founded in 1997, XXL entered the hip-hop media space with a mission to challenge established voices and provide fresh perspectives on the genre. With a mix of long-form interviews, album reviews, style coverage, and cultural analysis, the magazine quickly gained respect in the industry. Its signature Freshman Class covers and photo-driven layouts have become iconic, often spotlighting future legends early in their careers.

We are most likely to review:

  • 1997–Mid 2000s U.S. Editions

  • Covers Featuring Early Appearances by Major Artists

  • Issues in Very Good Condition (No Missing Pages or Major Wear)

  • Boxed Collections of 15+ Issues

  • Mailing Label-Free Copies Preferred

What We’re Looking For

We appreciate all interest in selling XXL magazines, but only a small portion of submissions meet the conditions we require for resale. Please consider the following before submitting:

  • Era: We primarily review XXL issues from 1997 to around 2007. More recent editions are typically not accepted.

  • Condition: All magazines must be in very good condition, with intact pages, no mold or moisture damage, and minimal surface wear.

  • Mailing Labels: We prefer issues without mailing labels, particularly on cover photos.

  • Volume: We do not accept single-issue submissions. We generally review collections of 15 or more, boxed or prepared for in-person pickup.

  • Cover Content: While iconic cover subjects may add interest, content alone does not guarantee eligibility.

XXL had strong circulation in its prime years. As a result, we are only able to purchase collections that meet strict criteria for age, preservation, and volume.
