Sell Your Old Creem Magazines
Welcome to SellOldMagazines.com—a trusted platform for the careful and selective review of vintage magazine collections. If you have old issues of Creem magazine, particularly from the 1970s and early 1980s, your collection may qualify for review. Known for its irreverent voice, cutting-edge photography, and deep-rooted rock coverage, Creem remains one of the most iconic music publications of its time.
We are currently reviewing select Creem magazine collections that meet our general buying guidelines.
About Creem Magazine
Founded in 1969 in Detroit, Creem was dubbed “America’s Only Rock ’n’ Roll Magazine.” It gained a reputation for blending snarky humor with serious music journalism—profiling artists before they hit the mainstream and covering genres that other outlets overlooked. From punk and metal to glam and garage rock, Creem featured legends like David Bowie, The Ramones, Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, and Blondie with a gritty authenticity no other publication matched.
We are most likely to review:
1969–Mid 1980s U.S. Editions
Covers Featuring Foundational Artists in Rock, Punk, and Alternative
Issues in Very Good Condition with All Pages Intact
Boxed Collections of 15 or More Magazines
Label-Free Copies Preferred When Available
What We’re Looking For
While we value all submissions, only a limited number of Creem collections meet the standards required for resale. Please review our guidelines:
Era: We primarily review issues from 1969 through the mid-1980s. Later issues are less commonly accepted.
Condition: Magazines must be in very good condition—no missing pages, mold, water damage, or major creasing.
Mailing Labels: We prefer copies without mailing labels, especially if the label affects cover visuals.
Quantity: We do not purchase individual issues. We prefer collections of 15+, boxed for safe shipping or available for local pickup.
Cover Subjects: While issues with legendary artists may enhance interest, content alone does not determine eligibility.
Even with its historical impact, Creem remains a niche collectible. Only well-preserved, boxed collections from its core era are likely to qualify.
