Published by the National Basketball Association, Hoop magazine debuted in the 1970s and gained prominence in the decades that followed. Distributed at arenas and by subscription, Hoop offered fans insider access to stars like Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant, and Shaquille O’Neal at the height of their careers.

What We’re Looking For
We appreciate all submissions, but Hoop magazine collections must meet the following requirements for consideration:
Era: We primarily review issues published between the 1980s and early 2000s. More recent issues are less likely to be accepted.
Condition: Magazines must be in very good condition—free of mold, water damage, torn pages, or heavy wear.
Mailing Labels: We prefer copies without mailing labels, especially on high-visibility covers.
Quantity: We do not accept individual issues. Submissions should include 10 or more magazines, ideally boxed for shipping or in-person pickup.
Content: Issues with standout cover features, player milestones, or All-Star Game previews may be of added interest, but content alone does not determine eligibility.
Even for official league publications like Hoop, resale interest is limited. Only collections meeting our standards for preservation, volume, and print era can be considered.
How to Sell Your Hoop Magazine Collection
