About Cracked Magazine
Cracked was first published in 1958 as a direct competitor to MAD, adopting a similar mix of television, movie, and pop culture parodies delivered with a distinctly cartoonish tone. Its mascot, Sylvester P. Smythe—a goofy janitor—graced the cover of nearly every issue. While Cracked never quite reached the mainstream fame of MAD, it developed a loyal readership and published hundreds of issues over the next four decades.

What We’re Looking For
While we appreciate all interest, Cracked collections must meet the following guidelines for consideration:
Era: We primarily review issues from the 1950s through the 1980s. Later editions may be considered as part of a larger collection.
Condition: Magazines must be in very good condition—free of mold, missing pages, water damage, or significant wear.
Mailing Labels: We prefer label-free issues, particularly where the label affects the cover presentation.
Quantity: We do not purchase single issues. Submissions should include 15 or more magazines, boxed and ready for review or local pickup.
Special Issues: Early printings, oversized specials, or TV/movie parody issues may receive additional attention but do not guarantee a purchase.
While Cracked is a recognizable brand, resale potential is limited and selective. Only collections that meet our standards for age, condition, and volume are eligible for review.
How to Sell Your Cracked Magazine Collection
If your collection meets the guidelines above, we invite you to submit a quote form and upload several clear photos. Please include visible dates, representative covers, and overall condition details. If accepted, we’ll provide packing instructions or arrange a local pickup when feasible.
We do not appraise or guarantee purchases, but we’re happy to review qualifying collections.
